Gegenstand könnte die Klärung der Frage sein, welche Mails, Anfragen, Ankündigungen u.ä. von der Mehrheit der Empfänger gewünscht werden, und welche Mails weniger gerne gesehen werden. Als Unternehmensvertreter habe ich natürlich volles Verständnis für den Wunsch, eigene Produkte, Lösungen etc. einem größeren Verteilerkreis mitzuteilen. Andererseits stelle ich mir die Folgen vor, wenn alle hier vertretenen Unternehmen alle ihre Produkte über diese Mailing-Liste vorstellen...
Ich halte beide Varianten für legitim: a) jeder darf hier Mitteilungen werbenden Charakters verbreiten b) keiner sollte hier Mitteilungen werbenden Charakters verbreiten
Meine persönliche Präferenz wäre freilich Variante (b). Mit dieser Mail an Sie alle möchte ich also nur anregen, dass wir die Frage diskutieren und eine Entscheidung treffen. Das würde uns allen mehr "Sicherheit" verschaffen im Umgang mit unserem gemeinsamen Mitteilungsforum. Vielleicht könnten wir auch Dritten gegenüber durch eine solche "Nettiquette" vermitteln, ob wir deren Ankündigungen wirklich lesen möchten. Viele Konferenzveranstalter senden beispielsweise über Security-Verteiler Infos zu Veranstaltungen, deren Schwerpunkt nichts mit IT-Sicherheit zu tun hat.
Über ein Feedback zur oben genannten Frage würde ich mich freuen.
Ich glaube, alle haben in den letzten Tagen das Päckchen aus Bonn erhalten.
Vor einer weiteren Diskussion sollten alle, die sich daran beteiligen
wollen, die entsprechneden Dokumente zur "korporativen Mitgliedschaft"
(grausames Wortkonstrukt) durchlesen.
Folgende Dinge sind dabei zu bedenken:
- Die GI wendet sich an wissenschaftlich und wirtschaftlich Interessierte
der Informatik.
- Die GI öffnet sich stark zu korporativen Mitgliedschaften. Wir brauchen
sie auch inhaltlich.
- Wenn auch wir Gelder aus solchen Mitgliedschaften erhalten wollen, müssen
wir auch eine Gegenleistung dafür bieten.
- Die GI verkauft den korporativen Mitgliedern Adressen. Warum sollen wir
unsere Adressen nict auch verkaufen?
- Die saubere Trennung wird immer schwierig, sobald auf Wissen und
Erfahrungen "aus der Praxis", d.h. in der Regel auf Informationen von
Firmen zurückgegriffen wird.
Die Mail, die hier zum Anlaß genommen wurde, ist gerade auf des Messers
Schneide. Einerseits wird hier keine Produktwerbung gemacht, wohl aber
bietet eine Firma die Zusammenarbeit an - andererseits hat ihr Inhalt
NICHTS mit dem FB-LG zu tun. Auf der FBSEC-Liste hat sie aber auch ganz
bestimmt nichts zu suchen. Also an wen sollte solch ein Angebot geschickt
werden, als an die Leiter de FGs?
In der Gründungsphase müssen wir auf jeden Fall vorsichtig sein und sollten
gutgemeinte Mitarbeitsangebote von Firmen nicht vorschnell niedermachen,
weil sie nach Schleichwerbung riechen. Letztendlich haben einige der
Empfänger und Empfängerinnen selbt eine "Firmen"-Signatur unter ihrer Mail
und werden durch Tolerierung oder gar direkte Beauftragung sogar gefördert.
Wenn ein Firmenmitarbeiter über Techniken "seines" Produktes schreibt oder
White-Papers beisteuert, kann das sehr nützlich sein. Das möchte ich daher
aber nicht als SPAMming bezeichnen, nur weil es von "Firma" unterschrieben
ist und nicht von einer Uni kommt. Im übrigen "werben" auch
(Fach-)Hochschulen mit ihren Qualitäten für ihr Produkt
Mein Vorschlag:
1.) Gemäßigte "Annäherungsversuche" wie der anläßliche sollen wir vorerst
zulassen, immerhin müssen sie noch durcvh ein Mitglied des FB-LG in die
Liste gestellt werden.
2.) Im Zeifelsfalle soll die Mail dem ListAdmin
